I started my career in the print and design industry in the early 1970's, working in Irish International Advertising as a finished art studio trainee before moving on to operate the darkroom. A few years later I commenced a position in Wordsmiths Advertising, while there I continued to learn the skills of the print industry, firstly developing film separation and plate making, which also lead me to operate a small printing press.

In the mid -1980's I decided along with three other colleagues to set up Hibernia Advertising Ltd to provide a high quality service using the latest technology at a reasonable price. As managing director, I was responsible for producing all design & Art plus media planning and media buying for several national store chains, primarily in the DIY / Home Improvement industry.

We also merged with a printing company Total Print & Design for which I was an executive director. Between both companies, we employed a team of nearly 40 people. I managed all aspects of projects from design, artwork, photography, line art illustration through to copy writing radio scripts and TV scripts.

Print Ireland was set up in 2005 where I have worked successfully in my home studio for the last 14 years.
